This week, we revied 9, GI Joe: Rise of Cobra, Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus, Plants vs. Zombies, this week’s Glee and discuss Ellen on American Idol.
We discuss the Disney buyout of Marvel Entertainment and its ramifications for both companies, including how it will affect us here in Orlando, FL! We also discuss this week’s dearth of new comics, including our thoughts on Strange Tales by Marvel and the 3rd issue of the ongoing Doctor Who comic. Good times!
We discuss the upcoming Fall movies and TV shows that we’re excited about and touch on Patton Oswalt’s new comedy special, Imogen Heap’s new CD, and the cool games we’re playing (Osmos, Secret of Monkey Island SE, Shadow Complex, Wolverine Origins, and Ghostbusters).
We discuss this week in new comics - Batman and Robin, Fantastic Four by Hickman, dancing lesbians in Detective Comics, Blackest Night craziness, and other issues. Melody discusses the Buffy trades she read and I briefly talk about Powers: Who Killed Retro Girl.
Due to its extreme popularity, we’ve spun off our Comic Book segment into its own podcast! We “review” GI Joe, Julia and Julia, express our excitement about District 9, complain about Jon and Kate Plus Eight, swoon over the The Mighty Boosh, Battlestar Galatica and Caprica soundtracks, and other verbs about the new Whitney Houston CD, eMusic, this week’s comics, and the new Ghostbusters game.
This week, we discuss the movie Funny People, the British sci-fi hit Torchwood, and a few other odds-and-ends.
