The more I’ve read about this, the more I agree with you and the writers. In the coming few years, there will be little difference between the average household’s television and computer.
The revenue from what is streamed via coputer, or downloaded to an iPod (or different device) could easily out pace television very quickly.
Already newspapers and network televison news are feelig the crunch from the reduced reader and viewership from their standard medium, and are moving at lightning speed to the net as a way to increase their revenue.
To think that the writers for televison shows can only profit from what is broadcast on networks or cable televison seems might archaic and ludicrous indeed.
The market will mostly be computers and mobile media of some sort soon. Good for the writers of television for recognizing it.
